“What started out as a response to office space in our building turned into one of the best decisions I have made regarding our Transportation of Freight. Our company had always negotiated with Trucking Companies to get the best discounts available to us. When Freight Management Logistics started working with us we were a little foreign to the idea of getting our rates through a 3rd party logistics company. However to show good faith for them moving into our office building and acquiring warehouse space, we let them have a few shipments. I never dreamed that giving them a few shipments would lead them into running our whole Transportation Department. Our warehouse manager came to me and said that FML’s rates are incredible. I was caught off guard because I thought our rates were good. We were getting a 70% discount with many carriers and I thought we were doing great. Then one shipment came up and it weighed 3,200 pounds and was going to cost over $1,000.00, I said, see what FML can do this for? Needless to say I saved over $320.00 just by having their name at the bottom of the Bill of Lading using a similar Tier 1 Carrier. In doing further work for us, FML drastically reduced our Transportation spend and even negotiated better rates with our own carriers!
