According to truckinginfo a number of LTL freight carriers are increasing their rates effective the end of June and the first part of July.  Top carriers like YRC, Holland, Con-way and FedEx Freight have all announced price increases of nearly 7%.  LTL Carriers like YRC are raising freight costs to help pay for infrastructure upgrades that have been delayed over the last several years due to a down economy.  We should expect that other LTL freight carriers will also find that this is an opportune time to increase their LTL rates.
